Accessibility

The festival takes place in a unique location, which also presents some challenges in terms of accessibility and reachability. We are doing our best to make the festival as accessible as possible in various ways.

General Accessibility Festival Grounds

If you use an aid due to your physical disability, you are allowed to enter with it. This includes wheelchairs, hand bikes, mobility scooters, tricycles, and strollers. Please note that some ramps can be steep. The distances can also be long. This varies per entrance and exit. There is signage throughout the site, with indicated walking distances.

Assistance dogs may not be refused by law. However, we advise visitors with an assistance dog to keep a close eye on the temperatures and to take the welfare of the assistance dog into account. The asphalt can become warm, especially in the afternoon.

Wayfinding signs are available throughout the site, including walking distance indicators.

Transportation

Due to the large crowds, there are no disabled parking spaces at the entrance. However, there are taxi ranks where taxis and also ordered transport (such as Uber) are allowed to stop. See the map for details.

At the S109, S107 and S104, there is a ‘drop-off’ spot reserved for additional public transport close to the entrance, especially for people with a disability who are customers of RMC. The special ‘drop-off’ spots are 300-400 meters from the entrance.

Entrances

At each entrance, you’ll encounter a ramp to access the highway and the festival area. Hosts are available at every entrance to assist with questions, and a limited number of wheelchairs are available for loan. Hosts can also provide assistance upon request. You cannot continue on the Ring with the loan wheelchair, they are only intended for getting you up the Ring. Every entrance also has an accessible toilet nearby.

Additional Accessibility features at the below entrances:

  • S103 (Haarlemmerweg):
The Muziekfeest Op de Ring stage includes a wheelchair platform, but space is limited. Programming is between 4 – 8 PM
  • S104 (Bos en Lommer):
Also includes a more gently sloped ramp and a low-stimulus room.
  • S107 (Henk Sneevlietweg):
Features a more gently sloped ramp and a low-stimulus room.
  • S109 (RAI) – Zone South:
Includes the Speciaal & Sociaal zone, with a music interpreter, sensory dance floor, and a low-stimulus room.
  • S113 (Watergaafsmeer):
Cycling on the ring road is only allowed after 4 PM in Zone A10 East (entrance S113 Watergraafsmeer). Handbikes are welcome there.

Wheelchair accessible toilets

At every entrance (after the gates) there is a wheelchair accessible toilet. At every toilet block on the Ring itself there is also a wheelchair accessible toilet. Please note that the distances between the toilets on the ring can be large. All wheelchair accessible toilets are indicated on the digital map.

Important Notes about the Festival Grounds

The A10 ring road is a one-of-a-kind location, and distances can be large. We expect it to be a busy event, so come prepared!

  • The highway includes steep elevation changes, especially near the S104 and S105 viaducts.
  • In addition to accessible toilets at every entrance, a few accessible toilets are also placed along the highway. See the digital map for exact locations.
  • Seating is limited across the festival site.
  • Unfortunately, there are no lowered bars at the food and drink points. You can ask the bar staff for help with ordering and serving food and drinks.
  • Handbikes are welcome on the entire festival site when they are used as a mobility aid by people with a physical disability
