Transport access
Due to the Op de Ring festival, a large section of the A10 Ring Road will be closed over the weekend of 20–22 June. Significant traffic congestion is expected. Visitors to the city or the festival are advised to come on foot, by bike, or by public transport if necessary. Leave your car at home!
On this page, you’ll find information about accessibility during the festival weekend, all road closures and diversions. This information will be expanded in the coming weeks. Additional information can be found in the FAQ section. If your question isn’t listed, you can contact us via iMessage at livecrowd.com/opdering.
Section of the A10 closed
On Friday evening, 20 June 2025, the western, southern and eastern parts of the A10 (between the A5 and A1 junctions) will be closed from 21:00. On Saturday 21 June, the inner ring will be the stage for celebrating visitors during the day and evening. The outer ring will remain open for emergency services and public transport. On Sunday, we will dismantle the festival and clean up. The full A10 Ring will reopen to traffic from 15:00 on Sunday. Regional traffic will be diverted via the A1/A9/A5.
Road closures and diversions within the city
To prevent major congestion and ensure access for emergency services, certain streets within the city will also be temporarily closed to cars. These closures do not apply to emergency services, cyclists, public transport, or permit holders for bus and tram lanes.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Plan Your Trip
For the weekend of June 20–22, we strongly recommend using a public transport planner and/or a navigation app like Google Maps, Apple Maps, TomTom Go, or Waze before you set off. These apps show real-time traffic updates, including all road closures and detours, and help you find the best route with minimal disruptions.
Drivers traveling to, from, or through Amsterdam should be prepared for significant delays, with travel times potentially increasing by more than one hour.
