Zone East

Due to the high level of interest in the Op de Ring festival, a change has been made to the setup of Zone East.
The entire Zone East will be open to walkers on June 21 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The cycling segment (“tring tring Op de Ring”) has been cancelled. This allows us to offer more people the opportunity to walk on the car-free A10 Ring. There will be no programming on this part of the Ring. We are expecting a large turnout, so we strongly urge everyone: check the crowd levels before you go!

Access for walking is allowed until 8:00 PM.
After that, the entrances to Zone East will be closed. Walkers already on the Ring can continue until the end of the event (closure around 10:15 PM). No further entry will be allowed after 8:00 PM.

How do you get to Zone East?

There are two entrances:
Via the S109A, near RAI / Europaboulevard
Via the S113, near Watergraafsmeer / Middenweg

We strongly recommend coming by bike or on foot. Public transport will be very crowded. Extra bicycle parking will be available near both entrances. A waiting zone will also be set up — please be aware that you may have to wait in line for up to an hour.

Practical information

The distance between S109 and S113 is 5 kilometers. There are two walking directions, so you can walk a part of the Ring and then turn around.
Allowed:
– Children’s bikes and strollers
– Mobility aids like wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and hand bikes

Not allowed:
– (Folding) wagons
– Roller skates, scooters, inline skates, or skateboards — the asphalt is rough and not suitable

There are no seating or picnic areas, and no food or drinks for sale. However, water stations are available near the toilets.

Can you bring a musical instrument to Zone East?

Yes, small and portable instruments are welcome to add a festive touch while walking — think of a trumpet or drum.
However, performances or stopping to play are not allowed, as it will be crowded and warm.
