House Rules
To ensure an enjoyable and safe experience for everyone, these house rules apply on the event grounds.
We ask that you read them carefully. By entering the grounds, you agree to abide by them.
Instructions
Always follow the instructions of the organization, security, and other involved parties. They are there to assist you and others, and to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely.
Ticket
To enter the event, you must be in possession of a valid ticket. A ticket can only be scanned once. It is not possible to leave the premises and re-enter later.
Entrances or sections of the event grounds may be (temporarily) closed if we deem it necessary for the safety of individuals on the premises, for example in case of overcrowding.
Search and Security Check
If requested, you are required to cooperate with a check (search, bag check) of your personal belongings.
Bag Policy
Small bags with a maximum size of A4 and approximately 10 cm thick are allowed inside. Larger bags (backpack, weekend bag) are not allowed.
Not Allowed
The ‘Op de Ring!’ festival is not suitable for animals. Various materials are also not safe for a large event on the highway. Therefore, the following items are not allowed:
- (Pet) animals.
- (Folding) chairs and stools.
- Glassware.
- Drugs, including both soft drugs and hard drugs, as well as nitrous oxide cartridges.
- Umbrella’s and parasols.
- Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs or drones).
- Aerosol cans (except for sunscreen, deodorant, and perfume).
- Blunt, sharp, fire, or impact weapons, or any objects that could be used as weapons, or items that strongly resemble real weapons.
- Toxic, flammable, or explosive materials, fireworks, flares.
In the event of a violation of these house rules, we will confiscate the items, remove you from the event grounds, or hand you over to the police. If the event staff deems that other items could pose a risk to health, safety, and/or public order, they may also be refused entry.
Clothing and expressions
Is the sun shining? Make sure you are well protected with sunscreen and wear appropriate clothing. The asphalt can get very hot, so wearing shoes is mandatory; bare feet are not allowed.
Festival ‘Op de Ring!’ aims to be a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Clothing or accessories with discriminatory, racist, or provocative messages are not permitted. Balaclavas, helmets, masks, and banners are also prohibited. The organization reserves the right to deny entry to individuals wearing inappropriate clothing.
Own Consumables
You are allowed to bring consumables for personal use. The following rules apply:
- Each person may bring a maximum of 1 liter of water + 1 liter of drinks (total volume of all containers, both non-alcoholic and weak alcoholic drinks). So 2 liter in total.
- You are not allowed to sell your own consumables.
- Plastic and cans are allowed.
- Glass, glass bottles, and strong alcohol are not allowed. Self-mixed drinks with strong alcohol are also prohibited. Therefore, only original sealed/closed weak alcoholic drink containers are allowed.
Alcohol and Drugs
- No soft or hard drugs, or (laughing) gas cartridges.
- No alcohol for individuals under 18 years old.
Behavior
Festival “Op de Ring!” takes place at a unique location, one of the major traffic arteries of our country. Handle it with care!
- Do not take any property from the municipality, the organization, or surrounding businesses.
- Prevent damage and do not cause destruction. Any repair costs will be charged to those responsible.
- Do not throw goods and/or drinks at visitors, staff, security, or performers.
- Use the available toilets. Public urination is prohibited.
- Do not climb on stages, tents, structures, fences, or other objects at the venue.
- You may not pass alcoholic drinks to persons under 18 years old.
If you do not comply with the above rules, you will be removed from the event grounds.
Sound and Hearing Protection
During the event, sound levels may exceed 80 dBA. Use hearing protection to prevent damage. This is your personal responsibility. The organization is not liable for any negative consequences that may occur to your hearing.
First Aid
First aid stations are available on the event grounds. Always follow the instructions of staff and medical personnel. Remain calm in case of incidents and contact security or first aid services.
Recording and Image Material
For the safety of visitors and staff, we monitor the event grounds with cameras. By entering the event grounds, you consent to being recorded. In the event of emergencies, we may share this footage as supporting material with third parties. Additionally, we will be taking photos and videos during the event for promotional and/or commercial purposes. You cannot claim any rights to these recordings.
Commerce and Advertising
The sale of products or distribution of promotional material on the event grounds is only allowed with written consent from the organization.
Denial of Access, Removal, Transfer to Police
If you do not comply with the house rules or behave in a disruptive or bothersome manner, we may remove you from the event grounds, deny you entry, or hand you over to the police. Additionally, we may impose a ban on your access for the remainder of the event.
Liability
Entering the event grounds and participating in all activities is entirely at your own risk. The organization is not liable for any theft, physical and/or mental injury, or any form of damage to property and/or goods.
Other Provisions
In situations not covered by the house rules, the organization will decide on any necessary measures. The organization’s decision in this regard is final.
