Creative Op de Ring

Vincent on Friday is your ultimate museum night out at the Van Gogh Museum — and this edition features Rens, Jaïr & Ome Uncle from Amsterdam, bringing a fiery live show packed with beats, humor, and raw emotion.

On stage, heartfelt odes to the women of Amsterdam will take center stage. And you can join in, too! At the workshop tables, visitors are invited to leave their own tribute in the form of a Mokum Friendship Booklet — a creative nod to the strong, inspiring women of the city.

Stichting Aduna brings the energy with a dynamic percussion workshop and a vibrant Cuban Rueda dance demonstration. To top it off, a five-piece Afro Band will set the mood with a lively mix of Salsa, Tumba, Reggae, Soul, and Bolero – all interwoven with short storytelling moments between the songs.

Salsa Dance Workshop for Beginners. Always wanted to dance salsa? In this fun workshop you will learn the basic steps in a relaxed atmosphere. No experience needed, just enthusiasm. Get moving, feel the rhythm and discover how much fun salsa is for everyone!

At The Blues Joint, passionate dancers host blues dance lessons and parties in Amsterdam.
Whether you have two left feet or you’re a natural dancer, blues is for everyone—young, old, male, female, LGBTQ+, and everyone in between!

Exciting kids’ activities: a festival full of fashion and recycling fun!

Experience the power of dance for mental health with the Move & Meet Experience on the asphalt. On stage, a variety of energizers will get everyone moving and motivated!

Bring fashion illustrations to life with fabrics and notions from the studio. In this workshop by Kitchen For Fashion, you’ll get creative with upcycling and bold, sustainable design.

On June 21st, De Buurtkringloop is hosting two fun activities! Try your luck at bingo and win authentic Amsterdam prizes, like tickets to the Hortus Botanicus. Or get creative and turn a vintage teaspoon into your very own one-of-a-kind ring – the perfect keepsake from a special day!

Inspiring stories about the future of Amsterdam. We’re sharing uplifting stories of what life in Amsterdam could look like in the future. These inspiring stories were written by residents during the “Toekomst Tiendaagse” at the OBA. Dive in and imagine your own future!

In the Junior Resistance Museum on Wheels, young visitors go back to 1940: they discover the true war stories of the Jewish refugee Eva, the NSB girl Nelly, Jan with parents in the resistance and Henk from an everyday family.

MOK curates 5 unintended artworks – objects that aren’t art, but become art the moment we add a sign and tell a story. This could be a piece of guardrail, a crack in the asphalt, or a distant view. All stories are themed around 750 years of Amsterdam.

OBA MAKERSPACE: EVERYONE IS A MAKER

Come discover, create, and invent at the OBA Makerspace!

During the day, from 14:00 to 17:00, you can get creative with WEAR YOUR MOTTO: give your clothes or bag a personal twist. Show the world who you are, using fabric, thread, and technology. Experiment with a sewing machine, vinyl cutter, or heat press and express yourself!

In the evening, from 19:00 to 22:00: OBA Eveningmakers – Special Edition
Join this special edition of OBA Eveningmakers and work on your own creation alongside fellow makers. Personalize your OBA tote bag with fabric markers, flex foil, stencils, and the heat press, or bring your own project to work on.

Monsters is a multidisciplinary art project by Dorian de Rijk, with residents of Amsterdam West, artists and designers. The Japanese knotweed, the most invasive exotic, challenges you to discover the ‘monsters’ in yourself and each other.
Get in a bumper car for a speed date, discover your inner drag with SFX make-up, or make your own invasive zine with a paper whisperer. But you can also garden in your head with a mind gardening session, go on a sensual expedition along plants in the verge or complain about Amsterdam and make an exciting sound work together in the meantime!”
