Free tickets for festival Op de Ring available from 21 May

14 May 2025

For Op de Ring, the festival taking place on Saturday 21 June, free tickets are required. Starting from 21 May at 10:00 AM, tickets can be booked via this website.

Because the festival is held on a unique location – the highway – public transport access is limited, and a large number of visitors is expected. The tickets and time slots help spread out the crowds, both on the festival grounds and in public transport.

The festival site consists of three zones:

Zone West – Ticket required
Zone South – Ticket required
Zone East – No ticket required

Tickets and time slots

10:00 – 14:00 (morning slot) – Max. 6 tickets per order
15:00 – 22:00 (day slot) – Max. 4 tickets per order
18:00 – 22:00 (evening slot) – Max. 4 tickets per order

Once on site, your ticket gives access to both Zone West and Zone South. Tickets can be easily returned so that others can use them.

No tickets needed for Zone East

No ticket is required for Zone East. From 9:00 to 14:45, the Run Op de Ring takes place here. A total of 20,000 participants will run the 7.5-kilometre route, starting at the S113 (Watergraafsmeer), looping briefly over the A2, and finishing in celebration near the S109 (RAI). Registration is no longer possible.

After 4:00 PM, Zone A10 East is open without a ticket for cycling (entrance via S113) or walking (entrance via S109). Please note: there is no access from Zone East to Zone West or Zone South.

From motorway to festival – made for and by Amsterdammers

The programme in zones A10 West and A10 South features around 25 events, developed by more than 200 Amsterdam-based organisers. Highlights include Weddings On the Ring, where 20 couples from Amsterdam will say “I do”, and Forest On the Ring, featuring an impressive 750 large and 7,500 small trees.

There’s much more to experience, such as the one-off Music Festival On the Ring, with performances by Jan Smit, Danny de Munk, and others. At Creative On the Ring, Amsterdam’s museums team up with local creative collectives. And at Highway Rave On the Ring, Audio Obscura brings rhythmic beats to the motorway

Accessibility and road closures

To build, host, and dismantle the festival, part of the A10 motorway will be closed from 20 to 22 June. There will also be temporary traffic measures in the city. As a result, extra travel time by car in and around the city may exceed one hour.

Visitors are advised to come on foot, by bike, or by public transport where possible. Up-to-date information on accessibility and detours is available at www.opdering.nl/bereikbaarheid.

You can get your tickets here starting 21 May at 10:00 AM.
